Motherload
It’s tough navigating this role of motherhood and raising these little humans who will one day be adults out in the real world. But even though all the ups and downs, success and frustrations, sweat and tears, laughter and craziness – it’s worth it!
Flood the Kitchen
A standard dishwasher is designed to fit underneath the countertop, 35 inches tall and 24 inches wide. There is just simply not enough space to accommodate a dishwasher like that in my house. With a small kitchen, every single drawer and cabinet under the countertop is occupied. So when dishes become dirty at the same rate they become clean, it forced me to think, “There has to be another way!”
Slöjd | Not Uncrafty
Slöjd is derived from the stem slög, meaning ingenious, clever, and artful. Swedish woodworker Jögge Sundqvist has an expression from his home county, Västerbotten, is to say Int’ oslög, “not uncrafty.” Referring to one who is handy and practical.

Craftwerk
Our techniques leverage upon our preparation. The more we prepare, the more assertive we can be in our work. Eliminating Waste creates a fertile environment for labor to grow and thrive. Seeking clarity in the workplace frees up our minds, and enables our bodies to champion production.
“Threat to the Next America”
Farnsworth House, designed by Mies Van Der Rohe, has been the object of extensive reflection throughout its history. This legacy has not always been the case. For many years after its completion the Farnsworth House received mixed opinion on its merits.
Inhale, Exhale
It is important to just take a moment to be present. We live in unsettling times that we simply cannot begin to control its outcome, this can be stressful. So if it’s just for 5 minutes or 10 minutes…take a moment, and listen to your breath.
Stairway to Heaven
In 1881, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Loretto Staircase was built by unknown craftsmen, out of unknown wood species, with no nails and only a saw, a hammer, and a t-square, then vanishes without receiving payment.
